St Edward's School

St. Edward’s is a joint Roman Catholic - Church of England VA school, one of just a few nationally. The school is voluntary aided and supported by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Plymouth and the Anglican Diocese of Salisbury.

Our Mission Statement defines our core values and aims. A Covenant signed by the Bishops of both our Dioceses describes how we aim to function as a joint church school.

St. Edward’s is an ideal size for a comprehensive school with 860 students on roll including nearly 160 sixth formers.

St Edward's School Prayer Diary -

Week commencing 8 March:           The Governing Body of the school

For as in one body we have many members, and not all members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another           (Romans Ch 12 v4-5)

Lord we pray for those who have committed themselves to the life and work of this school by becoming governors. We ask that the Holy Spirit will be their guide as they seek to work with the staff, parents and students to make St Edward’s an outstanding school.             Amen
